In today’s social media is fake reminder news, the Kardashian clan are scrambling to have an unedited photo of Khloé removed from the face of the internet (and let’s be real, the earth in general.)

According to Page Sixthe image, which has been confirmed to be an authentic photo of Khloe Kardashian poolside, “without the heavy editing and airbrushing that are mainstays of photos Kardashian normally puts on Instagram” recently surfaced online.

Tracy Romulus, chief marketing officer for KKW Brands, has said in a statement, “The color edited photo was taken of Khloé during a private family gathering and posted to social media without permission by mistake by an assistant.”

He added, “Khloé looks beautiful but it is within the right of the copyright owner to not want an image not intended to be published taken down.”

So you may be wondering, how exactly did the image surface on social media if it was never intended to there in the first place? Well, after a little digging, it seems that the image may have been posted by the Kardashian clan’s grandmother, Mary Jane, which was mentioned in a now-deleted post via an Instagram Kardashians fan page, @kardashiansvogue.

Further according to Page Six, images of the photo have been taken down as requested by the family’s legal team and it’s also been reported that it’s also not “uncommon for teams to request that accounts delete photos that are re-shared illegally.”

Another source has also told Page Six that the photo of Khloé was taken while she was ‘mid-conversation’.

With this unedited image running wild all over social media, it’s been received to mixed responses, many commenting that Khloé looks great without editing all of her images.

I guess this is just another reminder of how much of what we see on social media is really fake and in particular, edited. When will the majority of public figures like Khloé Kardashian just decide to keep it real?
