If Australiana-core fashion is the niche you channel your energy into, I’ve got news that’s sure to rustle your jimmies. Vegemite are now flogging beanies that wouldn’t look out of place at an Annandale Hotel day show in 2012.

For a humble $29.95 you’ll be able to cop a gorgeous pom pom beanie emblazoned with the Vegemite logo. I don’t subscribe to the ironic Australiana sartorial bible, but I will admit, these beanies go hard. They sort of channel that Wes Anderson short film Castello Cavalcanti, big Jason Schwartzman as a failed racecar driver energy. Objectively hot.

Good beanies are hard to find, you don’t want to be donning a Carhartt number or you risk ending up on @tinyhat_skate life.

Whoever is in charge of the Vegemite merch department is quite frankly killing it. I’ve just had a quick peruse of their website and there are some truly succulent wares up for purchase. If you — like me — tend to get sweaty, perhaps their corduroy cap is more up your straza? They’re even flogging Vegemite bento boxes? So painfully chic.

It’s been a huge month for the Australian kitsch fashion industry. Earlier this month, Victoria Bitter unveiled a deliciously hideous Christmas sweater, embellished with knitted versions of tinnies and stubbies.

Public transport inspired card game heroes Touched On also released a pair of socks inspired by the gorgeous, vivacious green pattern of Melbourne trams seat covers.
