Friends, let us all rejoice as Violet Crumble – one of Australia’s favourite chocolate bars – is set to return to stores soon! Production of the chocolate and honeycomb bars is set to begin any day now so get ready to see the classic purple packaging on shelves soon.
The bar was purchased from Nestle earlier this year by South Australian company Robern Menz. Since then their factory has undergone a $4 million dollar renovation to prepare for production. Menz will be keeping the packaging and recipe exactly the same.

Phil Sims, CEO of Robern Menz told Nine News ““The Violet Crumble now has a chance to be rejuvenated and energy and investment put back into one of the great brands that Australians have grown and loved.” and promised that the century old recipe would not be tampered with. “The number one priority is to make sure that recipe is unchanged since 1913, that Australians have known and grown to love.”
On top of the massive refit to the Menz factory, 30 new staff have been hired to help produce the 6 million bars the company will be churning out each year. They also hope to take the brand to international markets and share the Violet Crumble goodness with the world.
