Is it really considered a trip to America if you didn’t visit an iconic Wahlburgers fast food joint for a burger and fries? Well, the answer to that question is irrelevant as of today, because the very first Wahlburgers has just opened in Sydney.

Now, you can skip the jetlag and still enjoy a delicious meal at the franchise that’s owned by Mark Wahlberg and his brothers Paul and Donnie. The new restaurant has popped up at harbourside Opera Quays, in the space where Buckley’s used to sit. The opening coincides with the launch of Mark Walhberg’s new movie Uncharted.

Those not located in NSW will be pleased to hear that the chain plains to open 20 Wahlburger restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.

While most patrons will probably be heading to Wahlburgers for a, erm, Wahlburger, the fast-food chain has created a special offering for Australian’s, aptly called the Aussie burger, which is made up of a beef patty, beetroot, pineapple, onion, a fried egg and bacon.

If you’re not in the mood for a burger, there are plenty of other choices too, Wahlburgers has an extensive breakfast menu with choices like an Aussie breaky and French toast strips. They also have a large range of salads, starters and loaded sides. You can see the full menu here.

You can wash your juicy burger (or breakfast) down with an ice-cold beer, because the Sydney Harbour restaurant has a number of alcoholic options on their menu. There’s a full bar with wine and tap beers as well as “adults only boozy thickshakes”, “adults only boozy spiders” and a number of classic cocktail options.

Plus, if meeting Mark Wahlberg himself (or one of his brothers) sits high on your bucket list, then you’re in luck. Wahlburgers is running a competition for one lucky fan and a guest to win their way to meet the stars next time they head down under. To find out more about the competition, check out the post below.
