Watch the first footage of the ‘Sex and the City’ revival

Wonder no more what Sex and the City would look set in 2021 because the first footage from the iconic show’s revival is here. 

Titled And Just Like That, the sequel to one of the biggest shows of the early 00’s was first announced at the start of 2021. It will launch on HBO Max and consist of 10 half-hour episodes. Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) all revealed that they’d be returning, with just the sad news that Kim Cattrall won’t be coming back as the indomitable spirit that is Samantha.

Now, HBO Max have dropped the first teasing footage of the new revival and of course Mr. Big had to feature. The streaming platform dropped a promo for their fall lineup that debuted during the Emmys ceremony on Sunday, September 19th. After showing footage of Insecure, Succession, and Curb Your Enthusiasm, it came time for the glamorous gal pals.

In the admittedly brief glimpse, we see the three ladies in the sort of outfits only they could pull of, before the clip cuts to Carrie sharing a loving kiss with Mr. Big, as played by Chris Noth. The revival will follow the now-three best friends as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

And Just Like That is set to start on HBO Max in the coming months so keep an eye out for official dates. Will Carrie make it last with her beloved Mr. Big? Will Samantha shockingly pop up in an episode to deliver a savage putdown or five? The only thing that’s certain is that the fashion will be stylish and outlandish.
