Elon Musk has moved on from Grimes and found romance with an Australian.

The billionaire is dating Natasha Bassett, a 27-year-old actress from Sydney. She’s reportedly been dating the 50-year-old billionaire quietly since February, but the pair were prominently spotted this week on holiday in Saint-Tropez, laughing and chatting in a restaurant in the French hotspot.

After appearing on several Australian TV shows, including Rake, Bassett moved to New York City at the age of 19 to pursue her acting career.

That led to some plum film credits: she portrayed Britney Spears in the 2017 Lifetime biopic Britney Ever After, and had a small role in the Coen Brothers’ 2016 comedy Hail, Caesar!.

Her biggest role so far came this year with the release of Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis, in which Bassett plays the iconic singer’s first girlfriend, Dixie Locke.

That’s what brought her to the French Riviera, with the actress attending the Cannes premiere alongside Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, and Elvis’ widow, Priscilla Presley.

She also reportedly met Musk’s mum, Maye, at Cannes, with the trio attending several events at the prestigious film festival.

While it’s unclear exactly how Musk and Bassett came together, it seems like she’s known his mum for a while at least. “Lovely meeting you both,” Maye Musk commented on an Instagram picture of Bassett and her mother the actress posted in 2015.

Bassett definitely isn’t the first actress Musk has dated. Following his split from his first wife Justine, he started a relationship with St. Trinian’s star Talulah Riley, with the pair marrying, divorcing, remarrying, before divorcing for a third time.

He then dated Amber Heard for several months between 2016 and 2017, which has caused some recent problems for Musk in the wake of Johnny Depp’s current defamation trial against Heard.
