Everyone knows that Gina Liano is the real queen of Australian reality TV on The Real Housewives of Melbourne.

And with the show’s fifth instalment set to arrive on our screens extremely soon, there’s going to be one very big change: no Liano.

Many may ask themselves if it’s even worth watching the show without her. But after seeing the fresh new trailer, it’s more than obvious that there’s going to be a Gina Liano amount of hairspray worth of drama to distract us.

In 2020 Liano stated that she was hesitant to return to the show, as reported by news.com.au.

“I got back into my own life,” she said. “It was peaceful and I quite enjoyed it and I was hesitant to come back only for that reason.”

Liano also added a small reminder that being a part of The Real Housewives of Melbourne is no small feat, despite all of the excess that its cast members bring about.

“It’s a big responsibility having a public profile, even though I swear and carry on and maybe act a bit irresponsible.”

“I think there might be a time where I don’t come back just because my life will keep moving,” Liano said.

Another of the original housewives, Lydia Schiavello is also not returning to the show, which was a “personal decision” she had made for herself.

Schiavello made the announcement earlier this year in April, saying that she does miss certain interactions that the show brought about.

“I will miss the camaraderie the interaction with viewers and the challenges that my fellow cast members presented.”

Here’s hoping for some Liano and Schiavello commentary – who’s popping the champagne?
