We’re giving away 10 Evidence Skincare (ESK) packs worth $250 — featuring their phenomenal Enlighten, Hydroxy Cleanser and Ultimate A products.
Acne, acne scarring and hyperpigmentation is a real bummer. In a perfect world, I’d give you some spiel about how it’s what’s inside not outside that matters — but as a chronic adult-acne sufferer, I know the crippling effect having shitty skin can have on every other aspect of your life.
Throughout my entire teenagehood and early adult life, I have suffered from pretty severe cystic acne. I’ve also been blessed with a brain that absolutely must obsessively pick at all spots that surface, no matter how minuscule they may be.
I’ve since cut down on the picking almost entirely. But all those tipsy squeezing sessions have left my skin decorated in discolouration and textural irregularities.
I believe in full transparency. I have pissed too much money down the drain on products I’ve been duped into purchasing by articles that have clearly been sponsored. I refuse to feed you some bullshit about how X product changed my life forever!
Evidence Skincare (ESK) sent me an email offering to trial their products. The company is the brainchild of Dr. Ginni Mansberg her husband and co-founder, Daniel Rubinstein. Who, alongside doctors, dermatologists and scientists, developed a range of skincare with the intention of creating products that were evidence-based, effective and easy to use.
I was sent three products: Enlighten, B Calm and B Quenched. Enlighten was developed for the management of hyperpigmentation and age spots. B Calm helps with pigmentation, improving acne and rosacea-symptoms and managing oil production. B Quenched is a moisturising cream developed for sensitive skin that improves the skin’s barrier function, reduces hyperpigmentation and acts as an anti-inflammatory agent.
I am no Gwyneth Paltrow so I will not be able to give you a detailed breakdown of the ins and outs of all the chemicals and what they do. I will, however, with my hand on my heart, tell you that in the (near) month I’ve spent using this product, I’ve already seen a noticeable change in the texture and discolouration of my skin.
I had the kind of skin that looked like a tub of ricotta when covered with foundation and a pointillism painting when it was bare. I still get pretty hectic acne, on account of it being hormonal and everything. Though the sad, pinkish-red discolouration that has speckled my jawline has faded SO much.
We’re giving away ten Evidence Skincare (ESK) packs containing 1 x Enlighten, 1 x Hydroxy Cleanser and 1 x Ultimate A.
