As part of their April Fool’s Day prank, but mostly to promote their Google Maps update, Google have introduced a temporary feature in which you can hunt down Wally, proto-hipster and star of the Where’s Wally books.

You’ll also be able to hunt down his friends, including Woof the dog, his girlfriend/sister/it’s complicated Wenda, as well as the lesse-known Wizard Whitebeard, and Odlaw – neither of which should be spun off into their own book series.

Either head to Google Maps on your desktop or update your Maps app on Android and iOS.

Then, you’ll notice him waving from the corner of your screen — which is the opposite of hiding, to be honest. Click his dumb little face, then start the hunt.
