Can you believe that the good lords over at Young Henrys have been wetting our whistles for seven whole years? Their iconic brews are now part of the Inner West’s DNA. The brewery is celebrating their incredible legacy by pulling off the crispest celebration of all time — a simultaneous tinnie crack.

Young Henrys are paying their dues to the first pub to ever pour their golden brew, The Newtowner. At 5 pm today, swathes of Aussie Pale Ale enthusiasts will congregate at The Courthouse, for a ceremonial cracking of a cold one. The beers will be free-flowing and ice cold.

“Six years ago our great mates at The Courthouse Hotel helped us bring a bustling baby beer into world,” the brewery shared in a statement. “Come and crack a tinnie with a beer garden full of mates to celebrate the Newtowner’s 6th Birthday and the amazing community it’s named after in the first pub to pour it. All are welcome an encouraged to get involved.”

It is the silly season after all.
