Honestly, these times we’re living in are so weird. Since it actually feels like we’re “going ’round the twist“, YouTube is sporting full-length episodes of the iconic Aussie series Round The Twist.

Besides feeling like we’re in a Stephen King novel right now, with a virus that caused the entire world to shut down, we also feel like we’re “going ’round the twist” a bit, too. Luckily, we can escape our current mental state by watching the kooky happenings in the ’90s-’00s television show Round The Twist.

Based on fantasy stories written by the legendary Aussie children’s author Paul Jennings, the after-school show was one of those things that we raced home to see almost every day. Now, I’m about to chuck my work day and race to YouTube to get to watching them.

I mean, who could forget it’s catchy theme song, including excerpts of nursery rhymes we grew up with like ‘There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly’, ‘Humpty Dumpty’, and ‘Rain, Rain Go Away’?

With tons of whacky story lines, like the opening episode featuring a skeleton in the haunted outhouse, or the (really messed up and shouldn’t have been a story line in a kids show) episode where a fish supposedly gets stuck in one of the character’s genitals, causing him to be able to swim super fast, as his willy turns into a propeller. I mean, what?!

Regardless of what episode you fancied as the best, or most insane, you can catch the show via the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) YouTube Channel called Twisted Lunchbox.

They’ll be uploading new episodes every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so don’t worry about needing to plan any iso activities for the weekend, as tuning into Round The Twist will surely be entertainment enough.
