Yung Gravy has spoken out about how Brittany Hockley and Kyle Sandilands slut shamed Abbie Chatfield in a recent interview and said he “didn’t like” their reaction.

The American rapper appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O show recently and told the hosts he has an upcoming date with Chatfield.

Sandilands responded by mocking Chatfield and implying that she goes on a lot of dates. “Oh Jesus. Do you? So you and everyone else,” he commented, adding: “line up, my friend, line up”.

Hockley added, “I have no doubt.”

In the same interview, Sandilands asked Yung Gravy, real name Matthew Huri, if Chatfield sent him nudes, and Brittany asked the rapper if they’d “sexted”.

Chatfield responded to the segment in her Instagram story yesterday, and called out the two hosts, saying that they were being “real slut-shamey” about her.

When Yung Gravy was asked his thoughts about Sandilands and Hockley “slut shaming” Chatfield in the interview, he said that he didn’t agree with it.

“I remember that interview… I remember them saying that. I was like, this is kinda wack,” he told The Brag Media. “Hopefully they’re close friends. Cause I, I didn’t really like how he [Kyle] reacted to it.”

Yung Gravy doubled down on catching up with Chatfield, and said that their date was still on the books.

“Abbie got me on the radio in the first place because she sent me a DM. So, I guess I’m going to see Abbie at some point,” he said.

The ‘Gravy Train’ rapper will be in Australia next February for his tour. He said that he will have some time off between tour dates, and is looking forward to seeing more of Australia.

“I definitely want to go to the Gold Coast, I’ve heard a lot of good things about and I’ve got some good friends in Melbourne who will probably bring me to to wherever the cool stuff is around there.”

Hockley released a lengthy statement today defending her comments about Chatfield, and largely blamed what she said on “live radio”.

“The nature of live radio is unpredictable and often unplanned, which was the case with the direction that this conversation took. Live on radio I found myself in a position where Abbie and I were pitted against each other,” part of her statement read.

Chatfield has since responded dismissing Hockley’s apology and said that the host apologised to her fans in the statement, but not to her personally.

“I don’t see an apology to me, I don’t see any understanding of why what she and Kyle did was wrong, or an explanation to her audience. I just see an excuse of live radio, then a self written character testimony, then a (tbh) fair reason why she didn’t see my DM, though we have messaged before,” part of the statement read.
