The Morrison’s Executive Chef and co-owner Sean Connolly, Whitehouse Institute of Design Australia and Linneys join forces this year to create the fourth edition of The Morrison Oyster Festival.

This year’s fest boasts a variety of activities, unique menu items and the largest selection of oysters from rock and Pacific varieties found across the Australian coastline. Fresh batches will be delivered daily to The Morrison Bar and Oyster Room all month long.

The festivites include Oyster Hour, where diners can shuck on an oyster for $1 each between 6pm and 7pm. Bottles of champagne from Piper Heidsieck will be on offer from $99 throughout the month as well as oyster paired wines, cocktails and beers.

The festival will also offer a pair of masterclasses, one of them being a whisky and oyster masterclass with former MasterChef contestant Sean Baxter on Tuesday August 9; the other a champagne and oyster masterclass with Ned Goodwin (Master of Wine) on Tuesday August 23.

Througout the month, diners will have the chance to taste a speically crafted menu from Connolly, which includes oyster stuffed beef tenderloin, beef and oyster pot pie and a leek and oyster soup served with The Morrison’s famous duck fat chips.

The Morrison Oyster Festival will run from Monday August 1 to Wednesday August 31. For more information visit the website.
