Bell Shakespeare presents an Australian version of the famous French comedy as re-written by Justin Fleming.

One of the greatest con-men ever written, Tartuffe attempts to take everything from a wealthy man – from his fortune to his wife. Hipocrisy, deception and seduction make for a hilarious and brutally honest examination of human nature that holds as true now as when it was first conceived in 1664. Bell Shakespeare makes the tale contemporary under the direction of Peter Evans, and starring Leon Ford, Kate Mulvany, Sean O’Shea, Helen Dallimore and Tom Hobbs.

Tartuffe will be playing from Wednesday 30 July to Saturday 23 August at the Sydney Opera House, tickets available online.
