US bakery chain Cinnabon are about to get baking in Melbourne

After setting up stores in other Australian locations, Melbourne is the next city to receive the sticky, glazed, tender Cinnabon goodness.

cinnabon is coming to melbourne

Whether you’ve actually had the pleasure of eating one yourself or not, no one is a stranger to the Cinnabon.

Okay, so it’s not a small-batch, locally baked job, but something does have to be said for their smooth, tender dough with their signature frosting.

As per Concrete PlaygroundCinnabon officially landed on Australian shores in 2019. Their first store dropped its anchor in Brisbane at Toombul Shopping Centre.

The announcement was first made in January earlier that year. It was also stated that the family-run Queensland company, Bansal Foods would be acquiring the rights to Cinnabon on Australian shores.

The plan was to roll out stores across Australia, with things beginning in Brisbane. Right now Queensland boasts a trifecta of Cinnabon stores.

But they aren’t about to keep hogging all of the buns, as Melbourne is the next city to receive the sticky, glazed Cinnabon goodness.

As per TimeOut Melbournethe store will be setting up shop at Westfield Southland and officially unveiling on March 3rd.

While Melburnians will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on some of the iconic buns, pre-orders are actually open as we speak.

Announced via their Instagram, they said, “We’re serving fresh bons on opening day, plus take-home packs for pre-order to ensure you don’t miss out.”

Yep that’s right, via the Cinnabon website, you can put your name down to lock in a variety of bun options, including a classic four-pack for $21. For an extra $2 you can also opt in for the ‘Pecanbon’ caramel pecan flavoured buns.

The possibilities certainly don’t end there either. You can always sign-up for a nine pack of ‘Minibons’, priced at $27.

And get this, you can even get your hands on tubs of the deliciously, thick, sugary frosting to smear on anything and everything you like – for just $5 a pop.

As per TimeOut Melbournewe can also reportedly look forward to a Biscoff variation too.
