Last year, Chance The Rapper and singer Jeremih dropped a surprise Christmas release onto the net.
Named Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, and containing nine songs, the project was a quick-shot, free-wheelin’ thing they put out into the world as a gift to fans. Now, they are polishing the songs, adding a bunch of new ones, and releasing it all as a proper Christmas album.
Producer Bongo ByTheWay told Rap-Up, “It’s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it’s gonna be a completion of that project.
“We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right.
“It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”
The guys are under the pump to deliver the gifts in time for Christmas.
“We’re literally still putting it together. It’s gonna be one of those [where] everything is gonna come together super fast.”
