Coronet Blue completely embody the term super group with R.E.M, The Rolling Stones, Ben Folds, The Beach Boys, The Eagles and Roger Daltrey being just some of the artists the band members have worked with.
The band was formed by singer songwriter John Rooney (of The Lonely Hearts fame), who has for many years now been practising as an orthopaedic surgeon, with songwriting always remaing close to his heart.
The recent album entitled Better Dayis the third from band, and with a line-up of musicians who have worked with the afore mentioned legends, it is hard to imagine the release would be anything but quality.
The band are playing at Bluesfest and are also performing at their own headline show in Newtown at the iconic Vanguard with support coming from The Peter Northcote Band.
