Deep Green is a solo exhibition curated by Barbara Dowse featuring the work of Australian-born, Berlin-based artists Georgia Burrough.

The artist, who is more commonly known as Dord, works primarily within conventional genres of portraiture, still life and landscape. Deep Green showcases works created over the past year and a half, foregrounding a tension between western consumerism and the east’s ancient traditions of treasuring everyday life for what it is. Unique to Dord’s work is a wet paint effect wherein layer upon layer of paint is build up to create a greatly textural picture plane. The exhibition opens atArtereal GalleryonSeptember 4and runs throughSeptember 28.
