Using Instagram as his medium of choice, Australian artist George Byrne is exhibiting a selection of photographs of Los Angeles, breaking down his experience one palm tree at a time.
Living in California for the last three years,Byrne has accrued a wealth of images that capture LA’s bright tones, crisp light and iconic architecture, all through the easy glow of Instagram filters. Instantplaces two ubiquitous worlds – LA and Instagram – under a microscope.
Instantwill be showing at Chasm Gallery in Chippendale for one day on Saturday July 26, as part of Byrne’s inter-state exhibition.
