Singer/songwriter Evan Klar is hitting the road.

The tour comes in the wake of his debut single,Sleep. The 27-year-old artist cut his teeth working as a session player alongside the likes of Charli XCX and Alex Metric before moving to Melbourne and developing a sound of his own, signing to EMI before he’d even played his first official show.

“Before I start writing music I sometimes collect field recordings out in nature and use them to set a scene in a song,” said Klar. “For example inSleepI wanted the voice of the character and structure of the song to be straight forward or simple but have the sound design and music lead the story.”

He’ll playBrighton Up Baron Saturday February 25. Tickets at the door!
