The annual event promises to be everything you could want from a folk festival as it announces another four international artists to the lineup of over 200 acts across one weekend.

The Dublin-based folk singer-songwriter Aoife Scott will be joining the National Folk Festival in Canberra this Easter, playing highlights from her debut album Carry The Day.

Likewise, Flats And Sharps out of Cornwall will be showcasing their unique blend of bluegrass, folk, country and pop for the crowds in the capital.

From Finland, the Accrowbatics Quartet are sure to offer something new as they play a set of their music that’s based on the diatonic accordion and Finnish roots music. And the last act from the new announcement, The New Macedon Rangers, are a duo from America and Australia who will be playing their Appalachian music accompanied by a bluegrass mandolin champion.

TheNational Folk Festivalwill be held Thursday April 13 – Monday April 17 next year at Exhibition Park, Canberra. Tickets are on sale now and children under seven enter for free.
