To celebrate World Refugee Day, the inaugural New Beginnings: Refugee Arts and Culture Festival will showcase the cultural expressions and heritage of refugee and asylum seeker communities.

The free one-day celebration will feature music and dance performances, visual arts exhibits, workshops, and a short film screening. Delicious food and market stalls will also be available to give everyone a taste of the diverse cultures on show.

Through a vibrant program, the New Beginnings Festical encourages people from all communities to unite for a shared cultural experience. Everything featured in the program is run by the refugees and people living in our community, while they await the processing of their claim for asylum.

Celebrate World Refugee Day by attending the New Beginnings Festival on Saturday June 20 at the Addison Road Community Centre.
