Rocket Man takes on the ambitious task of capturingSir Elton John’s six decades in the music industry in one entertaining night.
The show’s star, Brenton Edgecombe, learned his first Elton John song at the age of nine while studying violin, and went on to play violin with several of Australia’s professional orchestras and even appeared as ‘Elton John’ backed by theAdelaide Symphony Orchestra.
Cramming in countless show tunes, artful compositions and catchy lyrics, the tribute concert spans Elton’s first hit song to his music forThe Lion King,intercepted withthe intriguing and often hilarious stories behind the songs.
