Sydney Town Hall has been the majestic edifice in Sydney’s centre for over 140 years. Come this June, all and sundry will be able to wander its halls and drink up centuries of cultural and social highlights.

After a $40 million dollar, four-year refurbishment plan, Sydney Town Hall is ready to strut its stuff for your adoring eyes. Returned to its former glory, the building is going to be open to the public on a weekend come June.

The weekend will be a free event catering to young and old alike. Apart from extensive access to the labyrinth of passageways found within the Town Hall, the event will feature life-sized historical figures, ballroom dancing lessons, period costume fancy dress and the famous Town Hall Crier.

Grandma, grandpa and the newest of the family may waltz down the red carpet into the Town Hall and swirl beneath the magnificence of the Vestibule and Centennial Hall.

From life-size historical characters, being mayor for a minute, paper planes, huge artworks, secret clues and fancy dress, Sydney Town Hall is set to create a fun and engaging weekend for the whole family.

Sydney Town Hall will be open to all on Saturday June 25 and Sunday June 26.
