Sye has announced that he will be playing at the Beams Festival and a handful of other local shows around Sydney.
A self-taught musician and ex-pro surfer, Sye’s music is heavily drawn from his childhood, growing up in orphanges and foster homes around Sydney. The well-travelled performer spent seven months travelling in a gyspy wagon in London supporting Will and The People. His sound is an otherwordly mix offolk, punk, pop and opera.
Sye has previously played alongside names like Rise Against,Parkway Drive, Grinspoon, Dead Letter Circus and Children Collide, and has since re-embarked on his solo career.
He is currently co-producing his debut album with internationally renowned producer Sven Tydeman of Kitty Groove Studios, due for release in early 2016.
Sye has a number of shows coming up, including the Beams Festival in Chippendale on Saturday September 19, The Dock on Thursday September 24 and at The Bearded Tit on Monday November 9. Check out his Facebook for more dates.
