Canadian progressive rock trio The Tea Party will play their first symphony orchestra shows in Australia when they tour here next month.

Along with a 48-piece orchestra, The Tea Party will hit Sydney as part of their national tour, playing at The Star Event Centre with the Sydney Youth Orchestras on Friday April 21.

Forming in 1990, the band was propelled into fame with the release of second album The Edges Of Twilight in 1995. This Australian tour marks the first time – outside of Canada – that The Tea Party has played alongside an orchestra since 2002.

Tickets to the gig are available here.
