New theatrical production 1790; A Tale Not Often Told opens at the Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre next week.
The new play is Robert Thomson’s first and only work, and looks at the fascinating story about the friendship forged between Governor Arthur Phillip (played by Andrew Steele) and Bennelong (played by Lasarus Ratuere) in the early days of Australia’s colonisation despite the incredibly hostile situation in which they both found themselves.
1790; A Tale Not Often Told is on for five shows only at the Lend Lease Darling Quarter Theatre from Thursday November 13 to Saturday November 15. Tickets are on sale now, available from Founding Modern Australia.
