Australia gets gypped on Halloween. As a nation, we reject this gorgeous, pumpkin-spiced holiday. Often disregarding it as being “too American”.

Quite frankly, I think that is a hate crime. Halloween is the best, dressing up is the best, pumpkin and cinnamon flavoured things are THE BEST. So, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to put together a list of 5 spooktacular activities that will guarantee you have the ghoulish night of your dreams. Let’s get it!

Sydney’s Zombie Walk

Look, I’d argue that my every Monday morning is a Sydney Zombie Walk. But this particular zombified stroll is an annual event that aims to raise funds for The Brain Foundation. Hundreds of people dress up as zombies and walk through Newtown and Sydney’s CBD. There will be food trucks supplying Zombie treats. And makeup artists to guarantee that you’re looking as gruesome as possible. For more information, check out their official website.

Q Station Ghost Tour

Honestly, this sounds like my idea of personal hell. For those more adventurous than I, this might be for you. Q Station aka ‘Quarantine Station’ runs a number of ghost tours. Their most popular tour Ghostly Encounter has been running for 20 years. Located at North Head, the station was once the first port of call for ships during colonial times that were hosting passengers with contagious diseases. It has been reported that the station is home to a bunch of spirits. It is often considered the most haunted place n Sydney. To book a tour visit their website.
