An Aussie singer and TikTok star who recently headed to the U.S. to shoot a music video has alleged that he was held at gunpoint while there.

According to Pedestrian TV, Clinton Kane took to Instagram over the weekend to reveal the distressing news. “Hey guys. Just got to San Francisco to film for the album and in an hour of being here we had a gun pointed to our faces and everything was stolen so this trip is going QUITE GREAT,” he wrote on Instagram.

Kane also posted a series of pictures and videos cataloguing what happened, including one of a cop taking notes of the damage to his vehicle.

“JUST WANNA SAY LOVE U ALL SO MUCH AND IF I EVER DIE MY TEAM WILL RELEASE ALL OF MY SONGS SO NO WORRIES,” he added weirdly, capturing the fact that posthumous releases are becoming more and more of a thing in music.

Kane said he and his crew had parked up for lunch when two men started breaking into his car and stealing his gear. Kane and co. then gave chase but they retreated for their safety after the thieves reportedly pulled out firearms. Kane alleges that $30,000 worth of equipment was taken from his car.

In an interview with the U.S. outlet ABC 7, Kane revealed his feelings as it all unfolded. “It was very scary having a gun held to my face for the first time in life,” he said. “I was peeing my pants, very aggressively. Not actually, but in my head I was. It was very weird, very confusing.”

He continued: “I don’t really know what was going through my head at the time. I had so much adrenaline and so much confusion and just so much shock.”

For those out of the loop, Clinton Kane is quite the popular figure online, with 1.5 million TikTok followers and 244k Instagram followers.

He released the single ‘Chicken Tendies’ earlier this year, which belies its playful name by being a serious look at relationships.
