It sounds like something definitely has happened in Abbie Chatfield and Konrad Bień-Stephen’s relationship, with the TV star insisting to fans that she’s “totally okay.”

Reports shockingly spread this week that one of the most high-profile reality TV couples in Australia were no more after “two separate sources” revealed the pair’s breakup to Daily Mail Australia.

Not only that, Konrad was alleged to have already moved on from Abbie to – get this – another reality TV star, Bachelor in Paradise star Megan Marx, after meeting her on the set of Channel 10’s upcoming reality show The Challenge, which is currently being filmed abroad.

After the rumours started circulating, Abbie decided to take to social media today to address the story, and it sure sounds like more information is to come.

“I’ve seen the articles about Konrad,” she wrote in an Instagram Story. “He’s out of the country so I won’t be commenting on anything until he’s home. Can everyone not be so dramatic pls and relax. Both of us are totally okay.”

Despite any stress in her private life, Abbie still managed to close her message on a lighter note. “And can the paparazzi get their daily pic of me picking up dog poo then let me get a coffee in peace also,” she added.

The breakup news comes after Abbie sensationally revealed earlier this year that she and Konrad were in a burgeoning open relationship. “First of all, we’re in love. Mummy and daddy aren’t breaking up … We’re just having a different structure to our relationship. So we’re open. We’re in an open relationship, which we love,” she explained on her podcast.

It sounded like they were learning as they went, with Konrad saying at the time an open relationship was “something I want to explore and I want to navigate and learn.” Abbie also said back then that the pair could technically “still cheat on each other,” with some ground rules in places.

“We can still cheat,” Konrad agreed. “So that’s the stuff I want to learn because I feel like there’s so much more to a relationship than just sex.” Only he said that he had cheated at that stage, with Abbie not having considered it yet. When he did cheat, however, he called Abbie the following day. “She was like, ‘Yeah hot, tell me all about it’.”

Abbie and Konrad started dating last November, and spent much of this year residing in separate cities – Melbourne and Sydney respectively – due to Abbie’s TV and podcast commitments.
