Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars to come out of the franchise. Three years after her stint on the show, The Bachelor-star-turned-influencer is enjoying a wildly successful career in media.
While her career is skyrocketing, Chatfield has revisited her roots and revealed how much she was paid to appear on The Bachelor.
During a segment on her radio show, Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield, the 26-year old told listeners she was paid $10,000 in total to appear on Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelor.
It’s no secret that reality shows breed Instagram followers, and is a prime motive for many to apply for the TV shows. However, Chatfield told listeners that she entered the show with no intention of becoming an influencer.
“I had a job and didn’t really care, people were like, ‘how do we make money? And I was like, ‘Don’t quit your job to go on a reality show!”
Ironically, Abbie is one of the most successful personalities from The Bachelor. She has over 388,000 followers on Instagram, was the host of Love Island after party and now heads up her own radio show.
The amount reality stars are paid is a question that’s commonly raised and rarely answered. However, Abbie didn’t hold back when questioned about how much she earnt during her time on the show.

“I got paid $90 a day but for me it was much more … I didn’t work for three months, so if you’re there for a while, it’s not taxed or something.
“It’s tax free, I got money back on tax that year, I came out with no expenses. I came out with $10,000, it was great.”
Chatfield continued to spill the tea on some of The Bachelors best-kept secrets, telling listeners what contestants are allowed to bring inside the mansion.
“You’re allowed to take two suitcases for three months but about halfway through we were allowed to do an order from online shopping because we all ran out of clothes,” she said.
