Air New Zealand has announced that they are restoring their nonstop service between Auckland and Chicago, meaning that all 29 of its international pre-Covid destinations have been resumed.

The airline announced that it will be using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Auckland airport to Chicago O’Hare airport route. The service will operate three times weekly, each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

“Since New Zealand’s borders reopened, we’ve been slowly resuming services and to now be flying to all our international destinations is a milestone moment for us,” said the airline’s chief customer and sales officer Leanne Geraghty.

“Customers flying into Chicago O’Hare International will benefit from convenient one-stop codeshare connections to around 100 destinations across the US via the airline’s strong partnership with United Airlines. This resumed service also adds to Chicago O’Hare International’s ranking as the most connected airport in the world.”

Earlier this week, Air New Zealand announced the return of its Auckland to Bali route. Flights will resume on March 29th 2023 and run until October 27th 2023 as a season service. They are non-stop and will depart on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 11:00am and arrive in Bali at Ngurah Rai International Airport at 4:40pm. The return route will depart Bali at 5:50pm and land in Auckland at 5:30am the next day.

“Bali regularly features as one of our topmost searched destinations – currently in the top five- and we’re expecting interest to be hotter than the Balinese sunshine as Kiwis flock to book a winter getaway. Our last flight was in 2019, so its awesome to be back offering non-stop services and giving Kiwis direct access to a tropical paradise,” Australia and New Zealand chief customer and sales officer Leanne Geraghty said of the resumption of the Bali flights.
