The first trailer for the live action remake of Disney’s Aladdin is finally here! The trailer gives us our first glimpse at Mena Massoud as the title character and Iago.
The film is set for release on May 24 2019, taking the original date set for the next Star Wars film. The live action remake will also star Will Smith as Genie and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine. Watch the trailer below:

The film was announced way back in 2016, but production was pushed back due to casting issues. Will Smith was the first cast member confirmed in July 2017. The film will also see Nasim Pedrad playing a character not in the original film, Jasmine’s handmaid “Dalia”.
The trailer doesn’t reveal much more outside of the first look at the titular character as he picks up Genie’s lamp and the Cave of Wonders, but it’s definitely helped build our anticipation for the release next year.
Aladdin is scheduled to be released on May 24 2019.
