CONTENT WARNING: This article about Alex Williamson details alleged abuse.

Comedian Alex Williamson has taken to Instagram stories to respond to the social media maelstrom surrounding abuse allegations put forward by ex-partner Peach PRC.

If you need a primer, let’s TLDR the controversy: On Tuesday, April 27th musician Peach PRC took to Twitter to share a statement accusing Williamson of  “abusive” and “predatory” behaviour.

“He is abusive, manipulative and predatory and has done absolutely vile things to not only myself but others who I won’t mention for their privacy,” Peach wrote. The musician alleged that Williamson had a history of “grooming and abusing young vulnerable women and girls.”

In the hours following Peach PRC’s initial post Williamson took to Instagram to deny the allegations. Sharing a series of expletive-ridden videos, denouncing Peach’s statement as ”horse shit.”

The 32-year-old comedian alleged that Peach had previously attempted to “deplatform” him via TikTok months prior — ultimately deleting the posts when they failed to gain traction.

“This is hilarious, this is her [Peach PRC] second attempt to de-platform me,” Williamson said. “She threatened some vague sexual assault on TikTok — instead of going to [the] police, she threw them out on TikTok about eight months ago. She was jealous of me.

“She put out those accusations and then she deleted them when they didn’t hit the audience she wanted them to.”

Alex Williamson continued to unleash a rant besmirching Peach’s character, “I’ve addressed this now, I don’t need to address it any further. You take one look at fuckin’ old Peachy you know what’s going on,” he said.

Williamson continued: “Peach, do you know what’s ‘predatory behaviour’? When we were having a fuckin’ threesome with your fuckin’ weird mate from the fuckin’ bar and I was having a fuckin’ diarrhea shit on the toilet and you were trying to kick the fuckin’ door in to fuckin’ sit on my dick.”

Throughout the videos, the comedian maintained that he has no idea what the allegations of abuse levied against him pertain to.

“What even is the accusation?… If it’s the predatory thing, it’s false. Also, I was 29 at the time,” he said. “What’s the problem with trying to find a 19-year-old?”

Following Williamson’s tirade, he was dropped by his management team More Talent. On Friday, both Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals pulled the comedian from their programs.

In response to the fallout, the comedian once again took to Instagram stories to offer a (tepid) apology to survivors of sexual and physical abuse. Chalking his egregious behaviour down to frustrations “stemmed from the little known fact that this was the 2nd attempt in 8 months by old mate [Peach PRC] to defame me on social media, rather than court of law.”

“I deeply regret the manner in which I mindlessly dismissed these recent allegations,” he wrote. “I do apologise for my display, which was a slap in the face to those survivors of sexual and physical abuse.”

Williamson maintains that he’ll “decide when I’m ready to be cancelled” maintaining that “although these vague accusations seem to have many of you keen/qualified jurors convinced, due process will soon see a great number of you regret the vile comments and hate directed my way.”
