It’ll be a night of hard hitting prog-metal, with two of the scene’s heavyweights joining forces for a Soundwave sideshow.

Animals As Leaders have garnered significant praise for their technical skill, as well as the frenetic energy of their live performances. Starting as a solo project for Tosin Abasi, they’ve become one of the most influential (if – at least according to some commentators – inconistent) prog metal bands out there.

Melburnian outfit Ne Obliviscaris take their musical cues from black, thrash and melodic metal, as well as jazz and occasionally flamenco music.

Catch Animals As Leaders and Ne Obliviscaris at Manning Bar on Thursday February 26, tickets on sale 9am Tuesday February 17 through Oztix.
