Arnott’s have taken the world’s greatest beverage and transformed it into a new range of biscuits. They’ve teamed up with Dare iced coffee to develop what can only be described as the tradies tiramisu.
I’ve spent my entire adult life living in the latte belt of Sydney. I’ve cut my teeth working for cafe’s that roast their own beans. I can rattle off the differing undertones between a Kenyan and an Arabica bean. I can also tell you that no coffee under the sun comes close to encapsulating the pure, visceral glory of a Dare iced coffee.
There’s something so sinful about cracking open one of those deliciously gluggy, milky numbers. Like you know that halfway through the drinking ritual you’re going to have to hot foot it to the closest bathroom because you’re on the verge of shitting yourself. Yet, you return to Dare’s cruel embrace like a toxic relationship that’s flame is yet extinguished.
I haven’t tried the biscuit yet because I know what I’m like, and I know I can not expose my addictive personality to a treat that will surely be my Achilles heel. I do, however, encourage you wholeheartedly to drop $2.50 on these heavenly biscuits.
Arnott’s have truly been LARPing as Heston Blumenthal these past few months. In June, the biscuit icons unveiled an entire range of dessert-themed treats that sent us into a complete tizzy.
Introducing three new flavours, a Lamington iteration of the beloved Iced Vovo biscuit. A remix that I am so eternally grateful for, the weird pink fondant strip on the otherwise holy Iced Vovo is absolutely vile. Replacing that sickly slither with strips of chocolate has elevated the VoVo to a near-perfect biscuit.
