Some of Pop Art’s biggest names are being showcased at the Art Gallery of NSW, as they present a special series of Art After Hours events in January.

Pop To Popism is a program that offers a comprehensive look at pop art, featuring over 200 works from artists such as Warhol, Whiteley, and Sherman. Each week the gallery is transformed to capture the spirit of a different decade in pop, from the 50’s through to the 80’s.

The gallery will also host a number of special guests, including Annabel Crabb talking about political activism and feminist movements from the 1970’s, and Wendy Whiteley presenting an artist talk in front of The American Dream by Brett Whiteley.

Pop To Popism runs as The Art Gallery of NSW every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday throughout January. Full details are available on the Gallery’s website.
