A National Day of Action organised by The Arts Party will take place this Friday at theNeighbourhood Centre, Newtownto support Inner West art workers.

Hosted by The Arts Party, activities and speeches to address cuts to arts funding will take place, with T-shirts being handed out to supporters in attendance anda human picket fence to be formed shoulder to shoulder in unity around the square.

Kicking off the Sydney involvement with a protest outside the Edgecliff office of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull (287-289 New South Head Rd), led by independent artist collectiveThe Protagonists, pro-arts events will occur across the country, with a full list of activities to be found here.

Attending the rally and giving speeches are Brianna Munting, Deputy Director NAVA (National Association for Visual Artists), Barry Keldoulis (federal candidate for the Arts Party) and Jim Casey (federal candidate for the Greens).

Rally against arts cuts this Friday June 17 outside the Neighbourhood Centre, Newtown (on the green square at Australia Street off King Street) at 11:30am.
