Anything for fashion, right? Right?
Online shoppers have been reacting as you’d expect to a newish addition to the ASOS Accessory collection and it’s not super surprising as to why.
The ‘Faux Headphone Ear Piece in Silver Tone’ bears a remarkable similarity to Apple AirPods while not explicitly noting the influence. Made from zinc, the ear accessories are finished with silver-tone coating and can be yours for just $10.
Or, six quid, if you’re shopping in the UK. A great way to add to the economy, no?
So ASOS are selling fake air pops for 6 quid as a fashion item. I kid you fucking not. Fake AirPods, that don’t play any music. Just a bit of plastic stuck in your ear. I can’t even, I just can’t. Why? Why? Why? pic.twitter.com/nfWwaoq57I

ASOS can get it right with a lot of their items but they’re also known for some shockers too, while critics have aimed gaze at the online shopping site for their contributions to the fast fashion ‘crisis’.
When it comes to these fake headphones though, ASOS have taken it a little too far into ‘WTF’ territory. They literally serve no purpose other than to make you look like you’re on a fake phone call or listening to music.
What a time.
