In news that has made 2020 that little bit brighter, Aussie comedy legends Aunty Donna have scored their own Netflix series.
The trio is set to debut six-part series Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun on Wednesday, November 11th.
Although exact details as to the show’s plot remain under wraps, it has been described as “an absurdist adventure through their everyday lives,” with “satire, parody, clever wordplay, breakout musical numbers and much more”.
In the decidedly hectic trailer, the group are seen with the likes of Weird Al Yankovich, Randy Feltface and Ed Helms, of The Office and The Hangover fame.
On top of his cameo appearance, Helms also serves as the show’s executive producer, along with Comedy Bang Bang‘s Scott Aukerman.
It’s safe to say a dedicated Aunty Donna TV show has been a long time in the making, since the group have been doing their thing for almost a decade now.
It seems they have already conquered almost every other art form out there, having released ARIA award-winning albums and a popular podcast.

The group’s YouTube channel also boasts a cool 316,000 subscribers, where they released acclaimed web series Glenridge Secondary College.
In an announcement via the YouTube channel, the group revealed they filmed the series in the US last year, “before the world went to fuck.”
As if Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun wasn’t enough new binge-watching material, Netflix is also set to drop all six seasons of 90s’ classic Dawson’s Creek next month.
The iconic series, which launched the careers of the likes of Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams, will no doubt help remind us all of simpler, pre-coronavirus times.
