Love Island winner Austen accidentally let it slip that two Love Island fan favourites – who weren’t paired together – hooked up after leaving the show.
During an appearance on Matt and Anna’s podcast Where’s Your Head At podcast this week, Austen was asked who from the show has “couple swapped”.
Without hesitation, the 2022 Love Island winner responded “The only person that I’ve seen is Jess and Jordan.”
Austen’s girlfriend, and Love Island partner, Claudia’s face was shocked face was proof enough that he had dropped a bomb that wasn’t meant to be shared.
“We’re not supposed to say that!” She told her boyfriend.
Austen simply replied, “Oh, aren’t we? I didn’t realise.”
A video of the exchange was shared on the podcast’s Instagram page and Jess cheekily commented, “My back hurts from getting thrown under the bus.”

While Jess and Jordan were friendly on the show, both Islanders were partnered up with other people. Jess was with MAFS star Al and Jordan was with Love Island bombshell Phoebe H. Both couples split up after they left the villa.
The Jess and Jordan news wasn’t the only tea that Claudia and Austen shared during their appearance on the podcast, either. The Love Island winners admitted that there are three fellow Islanders that they aren’t a fan of.
When the reality stars were asked by Anna to pick one person each from the show that they don’t like, Claudia quickly answered ‘Conor’.
“Me and Conor had that many fights. You don’t even know half the stuff that he did to [Jess] in there. She’s great about it now. She talks so highly of him. He was so fucking bad to her,” she added.
Austen then took the stand and said he doesn’t like Layla.
“Number one would have to be Layla. I’m not a fan of Layla,” he said.
He added, “She’s very different from what she is on the show. On the show, I could not see it. She seemed like a nice girl.
“You couldn’t see it in the villa, and then on the outside, it’s like you’re completely different to how you portrayed yourself in the villa.”
“I don’t like people that are fake. I don’t like that… On the outside, she was clout chasing. I don’t think that would be a problem. If that’s how she portrayed herself on the show.
“Because she was fake on the show and I was like, ‘bro, what are you doing?’ I just can’t stand fake people.”
While Claudia tried to initially “plead the fifth”, she backed up Austen and said, “there are a few things that she’s done to people that I haven’t been a fan of and I think it’s very selfish, some of the things she’s done and I’ve witnessed people get very upset by some of the things she’s done.”
When host Matt Zukowski pressed the couple if there was anyone else they didn’t like, Austen confirmed that he wasn’t a fan of Tak.
“It’s not that I didn’t like him, I didn’t have a problem. It’s Tak. Because, after, he said that I was jealous of him,” he said.
“And, he was saying to everyone, in articles, that I was jealous because Tak was closer to Claudia and I was like, I said to Claudia, did I ever say that I care about you hanging out with Tak? And, she was like, ‘no’.”
