As coronavirus continues its stranglehold on the world, and has placed much of Australia’s workforce on hold, every little bit of help counts.
Ethical clothing line, onedot3, which uses profits to support global water projects, has launched a new initiative to help struggling Australians.
onedot3 has launched its #SHOPWITHYOU initiative to offer free grocery vouchers for Coles or Woolworths. Thanks to money donated from the onedot3 community and via its website, onedot3 is offering up $50 Coles or Woolworths vouchers for anyone who needs it.
Anyone in need and facing hardship in these uncertain times will be able to request help by visiting www.onedot3.com/shopwithyou. A digital voucher is sent to them via email within 24 hours.
The #SHOPWITHYOU initiative launched in the night of April 15 with a long list of requests for these vouchers from all over Australia. onedot3 raised $1,125 in less than four days.
The #SHOPWITHYOU Coles and Woolworths vouchers are limited to one voucher per person per week to help as many people as possible. eVouchers are provided on a first rego, first serve basis and is dependent on donations that onedot3 has received.
onedot3 has stressed that the current system for gaining grocery vouchers is an honesty system.
“This service was created for those who need a hand during these times,” it notes on the website. “Inappropriately taking advantage of this program is no different from stealing $50 from someone experiencing hardship – so please don’t violate the integrity of this service.”
