OnlyFans originally launched in 2016 as a platform for subscription based content, however it didn’t take long until it was predominantly used to share explicit content.

For years the platform tried to fight the raunchy content, however, on 25 August 2021, OF announced on Twitter that it would no longer ban sexually explicit content.

Over the past few years, reality stars have been flocking to the platform to make some extra money and capitalize on their 15 minutes of fame. In fact, OnlyFans has become so popular that it’s rare for an Australian reality TV show to air without having at least one cast member transition to the platform.
