There’s nothing better than gathering with your mates for a couple of refreshing drinks while you enjoy the ambience of live music in a setting that brings together music lovers from all walks of life.
Regardless of genre or artist, music has the ability to bring people together and spark a sense of belonging.
It’s this sense of community that is the backbone of Jim Beam Welcome Sessions, which will see music royalty Bag Raiders bring the vibes to Adelaide’s chilled coastal venue, The Moseley Bar & Kitchen on Saturday, March 25th.
The musical pair first hit the scene back in 2006, at a time when electro music dominated the dance floors with pulsing beats and synthy goodness as music lovers united in their shared love of the pair’s epic tunes.
It’s a time that Jack Glass, one-half of the dynamic electro duo, remembers fondly.
“It was such fun music and I think it’s definitely a part of the reason we started making music that didn’t take itself too seriously – it was just about having a good time,” Glass tells Rolling Stone Australia.

“The music at the time had that kind of punk ethos, but it was also electronic music.”
After meeting in school while both playing in the orchestra, the self-confessed “music nerds” later gained traction with the release of Bag Raiders’ 2008 EP Turbo Love, with the title track becoming one of the year’s most played songs on Triple J.
They then dropped their most famous hit “Shooting Stars” in 2010, before going on to make a slew of hugely popular remixes, including a remix of “B.T.T.T.T.R.Y.” by K.I.M. which was even featured in the soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto IV.
Now, the pair are once again set to bring music lovers together for the next stop of the Jim Beam Welcome Sessions at Adelaide’s The Moseley Bar & Kitchen, in what’s bound to be a unique and one-of-a-kind experience.
Speaking of their love for playing to a local crowd, Glass explained that Bag Raiders always look forward to putting on a show in their home country.
“I think Australians are just always down to have a good time,” he said of local fans.
