If you cast your memory back to pre-pandemic times, you may remember a very popular Maccas burger called the Quarter Pounder with bacon. While the highly sought-after burger was removed from the chain’s menu in 2019, it has finally returned.
And, not only is the Quarter Pounder with bacon back on Maccas’ menus, but the fast food giant has added another vartions of the burger – the Quarter Pounder Deluxe.
It goes without saying that the Quarter Pounder with bacon is a, well, Quarter Pounder with slices of crispy bacon added, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe will have crispy lettuce and fresh tomato added to the classic.
“Macca’s is committed to offering great quality, great tasting food to our customers,” Tim Kenward, marketing director of McDonald’s Australia said of the new additions.
“The Quarter Pounder is one of our most iconic menu items and much loved for its delicious flavour combinations and ingredients.
“We are excited to give Quarter Pounder fans even more variety with the addition of the new Quarter Pounder Deluxe and Quarter Pounder with Bacon.
“From crispy bacon to fresh lettuce and tomato, there’s something for everyone in this range.”

The burgers are just two of many new menu additions. In recent weeks, Maccas has expanded it’s range to include the Mighty Angus burger, mozzarella sticks with chunky tomato relish the Crème Brulée McFlurry and the Crème Brulée Pie McFlurry.
To celebrate the introduction – and reintroduction – of the Quarter Pounder variations, Deliveroo and Macca’s are giving out free Quarter Pounders today.
Fast food fans who order through Deliveroo can add a free Quarter Pounder to their meal when they order $25 or more from McDonald’s on the app.
To grab a free Quarter Pounder, just enter the code ‘MACCASQP’ at participating Macca’s restaurants via the Deliveroo app. It couldn’t be simpler.
“We’re excited to partner with McDonald’s so that our burger-loving customers can enjoy the iconic Quarter Pounder on us this Wednesday while also spreading some extra Macca’s love by offering a quarter(25c) delivery for over a week!” Said Jodi Ingham, Deliveroo’s commercial director.
