Camille Lamb made her debut on Below Deck yesterday, but it isn’t her first stint on reality TV.

While Camille has joined the crew as a stew and deckhand, she has another talent up her sleeve; singing. The yachtie competed on the 2021 season of American Idol, and made it to the Showstopper Round (otherwise known as the Top 64). In that round she sang Bad Company’s Feel Like Makin’ Love which saw her knocked out and miss out on making the show’s Top 24.

Camille posted about the experience on her Instagram page, expressing how much fun she had on the show.

This experience has been so fun I wouldn’t trade my @americanidol family for the world. Ps…The last audition episode airs tonight on @abcnetwork 8/7c watch if you wanna! Peace.”

Camille posted again after she was eliminated, saying the show had changed her life.

According to her Below Deck bio, Camille’s elimination on American Idol led her to return to Yachting.

“An avid singer and songwriter as well, Camille competed on American Idol last year. Upon her elimination, Camille found herself lost and returned to her roots on the water,” it reads.

The bio says that the reality star has grown up with a love of the ocean and boating.

“Coming from a family of merchant mariners, boating has always been in Camille’s blood. With sailing experience since she was 9, Camille is a natural-born yachtie with a love for the water, the beach and traveling

Camille will join Below Deck alum Captain Lee, Chief stew Fraser and Chef Rachel on season ten of the hit show. Newcomers bosun Ross, deckhands Luis and Ben, stews Hayley and Alissa and deckhand Katie will all work aboard, too.

Below Deck is currently streaming on Hayu, and new episodes drop weekly on Tuesdays.
