New Zealand singer-songwriter BENEE has teamed up with Depop for a second time, all in the name of a good cause.
The musician has an exclusive drop of items from her personal wardrobe hitting the fashion marketplace on Tuesday, February 22nd. All proceeds from the sales go to charity, with Depop set to match all donations.
“I’m so happy to be teaming up with Depop again; sustainability and recycling are where it’s at” BENEE said about the collaboration.
All proceeds from her store will go to the New Zealand charity, F’INE Pasifika. “This time I’ve chose F’ine Pasifika as my partner; I love their vision of a world where all Pasifika peoples thrive and where no one is left behind,” she added.
“Their work in empowering Pacific MVPFAFF+/LGBTQI+, Rainbow and Queer people and nurturing healthy relationships between them and their wider communities is SO essential. In a world where inequality is raging out of control, we must do our best to help those struggling to bridge those gaps and help the most vulnerable.”
There will be lots of cool items to shop, including march, memorabilia, show looks, and even curated wardrobe pieces. BENEE previously partnered with Depop in August 2021 and it was a huge success, with her first drop completely selling out.
This week also saw the release of the official music video for BENEE’s latest song ‘Beach Boy’ (see below). It’s part of her forthcoming EP Lychee, set for release on March 4th.
