The vote count was over 300,000 across Australia and many locations were in the running, but only one per state can be crowned as where to get the best fish and chips.
In Queensland, Costa’s Seafood Cafe in Capalaba took the top spot. Since Queenslanders cast the most votes in this poll, this place scored the highest number of votes for best feed in 2021.
For New South Wales, Something Seafood in Callala Bay took the top spot. In Victoria, the Trisent Fish Bar in Queenscliff was number one.
Further south into Tasmania, Fraggles in Invermay was the most popular. In Canberra, the Fish Shack in Civic claimed the number one position. The Fish Shack narrowly pulled ahead by 10 votes to nab the crown.
