Here are all the best picks available to binge on Disney+ in August

August has officially arrived, which means we have a new bunch of must-see movies and TV shows to feast our eyes on via Disney+.

With so many of us still stuck in lockdown, we can all breathe a sigh of relief that Disney+ has well and truly delivered when it comes to binge-worthy content this month.

Undoubtedly one of the highlights amongst the slew of new additions to the streaming service is Only Murders in the Building, the new comedy series starring the unlikely combo of Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short.

Arriving on Tuesday, August 31st, the show centres around three residents of a building who become amateur sleuths and true crime podcasters as they attempt to catch the killer of one of their neighbours.

After spending several years mostly focusing on her musical career, it’s safe to say we’re looking forward to seeing Gomez make her welcome return to TV, especially alongside two comedy veterans.

Meanwhile, Wednesday, August 11th will see the debut of What If…?, Marvel Studios’ first animated series.

The show is set to focus on reimagining memorable events from the films in unexpected ways, like what if Peggy Carter had taken the super-soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers?

Several MCU stars are reprising their roles for the series, including Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston and Josh Brolin.

On top of that, it will also feature Chadwick Boseman’s final performance, which he recorded prior to his untimely death last year.
