If you’ve been itching for some space-based shenanigans ever since finishing up with Star Wars Squadrons, Chorus could be well worth a look.

Solar Ash (PS5, PS4, PC)

The second game from the creators of the beloved indie game Hyper Light Drifter, Solar Ash looks stunning. The exact specifics of the game are being kept close to the chest, but according to the devs you’ll “journey through a surreal, vivid and highly stylized world filled with mystery, wild high-speed traversal, endearing characters, and massive enemy encounters.”

Colour us intrigued.

Halo Infinite (Xbox Series X/S, XBO, PC)

Release Date: Thursday December 9

When it comes to video games in December 2021, Halo Infinite is a huge deal for Xbox fans. It’s also perhaps the most anticipated game of the whole damn year.

While the multiplayer is already out in the wild (and free!), Infinite’s solo campaign continues the tale of the beloved Master Chief. As always, humanity’s fate hangs in the balance, so get ready to confront the most ruthless foe you’ve ever faced with a whole lot of firepower.

It’s bound to be a bloody good time, so if you own an Xbox, put this one at the top of your list.

The Gunk (Xbox Series X/S,  XBO, PC)

Thursday December 16

An intriguing way to wrap up the year, The Gunk follows two gritty space haulers struggling to make a buck. But when their luck seems set to turn by uncovering the dormant secrets of a shattered civilization, they must also battle the curse of a toxic gunk parasite, all while getting caught in a spiral of festering mistrust. Just another day at the office, right?

This quirky action adventure title is worth keeping an eye on.
